Maximising employee awareness and value

Supporting a construction client in fully understanding their current wellbeing and benefits programme to maximise employee awareness and value.

Challenge

As one of the South West region’s largest contractors, the organisation is a leading performer within the sector and constantly striving to improve service to customers. Not only wanting to be the best for their customers, the client recognised they wanted to do their best to support their people’s wellbeing too.

The organisation was approached for a meeting to introduce Partners&, so we could help them understand the depth and quality of their existing package and provide the right support to their employees.

Support

Through an open conversation around our wellbeing, engagement and benefits approach, we were able to identify immediate opportunities where the return on their current investment was not being fully recognised.

Following an initial review by Partners&, we identified that the client had an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) included within their existing group life policy, and had access to a wellness app, portal and Digital GP via this policy.

However, the business and employees were not made aware of any of these features. Following our review, we were able to demonstrate that within the benefits they were currently providing they already had some important features that would support their employees’ wellbeing that were not being implemented.

Perform

As a result of the initial investigation work on their existing wellbeing, engagement and benefits programme, we were appointed to manage the client’s strategy moving forward, working closely with them as a trusted adviser.

The first steps were to transition all existing policies across to us. By doing this, we were then able to evolve their existing programme through of our wellbeing, engagement, and benefits strategy. This included identifying opportunities for the business to consider widening their health insurance provisions from a handful of staff to all their people.

Demonstrating that there were cost effective solutions available in the market, in conjunction with an engagement strategy, allowed us to help the business achieve their goals and maximise return on their people investment.

More recently, acting as their trusted adviser we also supported the client in completing a government tender request that required a response around how the business support the health and wellbeing of their staff.
