Compliance Analyst

The purpose of this role is to play a key role in ensuring the company complies with all relevant regulations and operates within a sound regulatory framework. This is supported by a collaborative and structured team approach on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Group COO and Regulatory Director in establishing a structured approach to Risk Management and Compliance, by developing and implementing the Group’s Risk & Compliance strategy.
  • Delivering compliance controls and oversight of new and existing and new placement contracts throughout the distribution chain.
  • Evaluating the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.
  • Working closely with core business units, delivering regulatory advice and oversight.
  • Supporting the preparation of MI & reports for senior management and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
  • Keeping abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.

 

Qualifications

  • Cert CII (or similar) obtained or studying towards, but not essential.

 

Experience / skills

  • Appropriate previous experience of working in Regulated Financial Services.
  • Knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations.
  • An analytical mindset with the ability to identify and analyse problems and develop effective solutions.
  • Good communication skills at all levels and ability to build relationships.
  • Accurate, reliable, with excellent attention to detail.
