Ed Farthing has joined Partners& as Client Partner, specialising in social care and the healthcare sector. In this newly appointed role, Ed will report to Jonathan Miller, Chief Client Officer. The move is in line with the Partners& strategy to recruit talent in specialist areas to provide clients with the expertise and insight they need in today’s complex world.
At a time when the social care sector is stretched and threatened with 21st century risks, such as cyber and AI, the need for the right advice is critical – that includes educating clients on the importance of cyber-resilience and how to maximise the benefits of AI rather than fear the impact of it.
Ed will build on fellow Care Sector Client Partner, Jamie Brock’s expertise, and his focus will be primarily on care operators in the elderly, complex, domiciliary and retirement living spaces.

I was attracted to Partners&’s truly client-centric risk and insurance proposition, focused on building a partnership with clients rather than seeing advice as a transaction.
“I’m passionate about advocating for my clients and to promote best practice in these important sectors. If they excel at risk practices or innovative working methods that can enhance their risk and insurance profile, the difference they can make on people’s lives is immeasurable. I want to celebrate these successes by marrying them with a bespoke offering rather than trying to fit all care and healthcare providers into a one-size-fits-all solution.
“Given the digitisation of the sector and the influx of AI-led care tools, it is vitally important to stress-test these products and practices, to fully understand the scope of the products and to ensure the future security of our clients’ business.
Jonathan Miller said: “We’re thrilled Ed has joined Partners& to build on our commitment to the Health and Social Care sector. With so much change taking place to digitise the sector, and with the influx of AI-led care tools, clients are in need of advice from experts who understand them, understand the technology and can bring the two together to enhance the safety of their clients and to minimise the risks posed to their businesses. It was clear to me that clients need someone like Ed who has a deep understanding of it and will advocate on their behalf. It’s great to have him on board.”
Prior to joining Partners&, Ed was Senior Account Executive in Howden’s Corporate Health and Social Care team. He will be based from the Partners& Birmingham Hub.
