Your festival insurance needs to fit your specific activities. Whether you’re a multi-day or a one-day event, a live music or literature festival or multi-artform, one size does not fit all and your insurance should address your very specific challenges and risks. Though your festival is site-specific, your digital and online risks can expose you globally, and event cancellation is now a significant threat. Our specialist team is here to advise and build resilience in your organisation to cope with unforeseen events.

Why do you need specialist festival insurance?

Getting the right advice can really make a difference in insurance. Our Arts Portfolio policy is designed specifically for insuring festivals, covering many of your needs under a single ‘umbrella’ policy, including critical public liability insurance. Packaging up the various policies into one portfolio provides transparency and helps to prevent gaps and unnecessary duplications between multiple policies – so you have the right level of cover where you need it, but you won’t pay for insurance cover you don’t need. Arts Portfolio is exclusively available through Partners& and our claims handling is all managed by our in-house team, ensuring you a personal service when you need it most.

We can also help with event cancellation insurance – whether for music festivals or food festivals. As specialist advisers, we understand the risks and pressures event organisers face. Our aim is to support you with the information you need to make informed decisions.

We take a holistic view, working in collaboration with you to identify the “bigger picture” of the risks you face, which are not always obvious. We’ll challenge and test your existing insurance programme and perhaps even your notion of risk. Then, we’ll provide the support to create the appropriate insurance solution that will perform when you need it to. Let’s work together to build resilience for your festival.

Usual types of cover

Festival risks lie principally in the accumulation of large gatherings, where public liability may be on a significant scale. Alongside this, working practices may be very different from those in standard businesses: “employees” may include freelancers and volunteers, “business hours” are not 9-5, and though your festival is site-specific, your digital and online risks can expose you globally.  Our specialist cover is designed to reflect these variations.
