Why do you need specialist art conservator insurance?

Every art conservation project carries different risks – many of which change continuously.  It’s important to partner with an insurance adviser who really understands what you do and will work with you to provide the right cover at the right time

Whatever your specialism, we’ll take a creative and innovative approach to structuring your fine art insurance and select an insurer who demonstrates understanding and experience of your field. We’ll support you with great advice, helping you to manage your risks and make the right decisions to protect your business.

We’ll work with you to design an insurance programme to protect both your property and your professional liabilities.

The property module protects the property in your care that you have accepted for your conservation services. It insures against physical loss or damage caused by, for example, fire, windstorm, water/flood, theft, breakage, and damage caused by handling, such as punctures, rips or tears.

The errors and omissions module protects you in the performance of your professional duties as a conservator, covering claims arising from:

  • Negligent act, error or omission
  • Breach, infringement of, or unauthorised use of, confidential information, trade secrets, patents, copyrights
  • Publication of a defamatory statement

As a Lloyd’s broker, no risk is too complex. Partners& has direct access to world-class underwriting in the elite market of premier specialist insurance.
