Partners& is a next generation insurance advisory business intent on challenging the market to provide the right advice to clients. This role is specifically designed for entrepreneurial and dynamic professional services candidates seeking a clear path to equity partnership within our business. As a partner as in other professional services, you will have the support of the business to build your commercial acumen, enhance your risk and insurance knowledge and be responsible for winning, retaining and advising your own portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial development:
- Grow your network and actively manage your pipeline to build a portfolio of new clients.
- Retain these clients and continue to organically grow your own book of business.
- Adopt the Partners& Difference and Client Journey methodology and other discovery tools.
- Collaborate with the wider Partners& technical team to help clients understand their risks, and ultimately, build greater resilience within their business by utilising the full breadth of the Partners& proposition.
Strategic insight:
- Bring a commercial and risk-advisory mindset to client conversations, drawing on a professional services background.
- Apply existing expertise in areas such as corporate advisory, M&A, employment and real estate in combination with the Partners& value proposition to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
Client relationship management:
- Create a strategic view of the client’s risks, enabling them to build business resilience.
- Lead and support client meetings, renewal reviews and strategic planning sessions.
- Be responsible for winning, retaining and advising your clients.
Risk and insurance advisory:
- Use Partners&’s unique discovery tools to understand each client’s business and risk profile to support the appropriate placement of risk insurance programmes as well as people risk and employee benefits solutions.
- Obtain Chartered Insurance Institute qualification and maintain a focus on continuous professional development.
Collaboration and delivery:
- Work closely with the corporate team, underwriters and wider technical teams to ensure insurance placement and the renewal processes are timely and effective.
- Collaborate with our ecosystem of like-minded professional services firms to expand our influence with clients and accelerate growth.
- Use a strategic mindset to bring opportunities and ideas to the wider advisory teams.
Regulatory and compliance:
- Ensure all advice adheres to the requirements of the Financial Conduct Authority, internal governance, Treating Customers Fairly and Consumer Duty principles.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in existing field of work.
Experience/Skills
- Background in professional services e.g. solicitor, corporate finance, management consultant.
- Proven ability to manage senior client relationships including C-suite.
- Strong commercial and risk awareness.
- Excellent two-way communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Ability to transition to a new sector and learn industry specific detail quickly.
- Experience in a client facing role.
