Partners& has recently acquired M&DH, a leading insurance broker specialising in the construction and manufacturing sectors. Established in 2002, the Bedford based firm has more than 70 colleagues and will form a regional hub for the combined business in the Northern Home Counties. The move is in line with Partners& growth strategy aimed at the underserved SME marketplace, and the attraction of specialist talent.
Both firms share the belief that culture and talent are at the heart of their success – believing that building lasting relationships with clients, providing an exceptional client experience and delivering quality advice based on deep understanding is what sets them apart.
Phil Barton, Partners& Group CEO, said: “M&DH is an exceptional business. They have a shared commitment to challenge the status quo and change the perception of the insurance broking industry. Their focus on investing in talent is clear – evidenced by their Academy programme, which resonates with our aim to attract young talent to our sector. Their culture is powerful and they’re a great fit for Partners&. I’m delighted they have joined our mission, and I’m looking forward to realising our collective potential.”
Commenting on the news, the Board of Directors at M&DH said they were delighted to become part of Partners&. Richard Hames said: “Choosing Phil and his team was an easy decision for us. From our very first conversations, it was clear that the culture, values and long-term vision of Partners& closely aligned with our own, making them the ideal partner for the next stage of our journey.
“Our dedicated and loyal colleagues have been at the heart of M&DH’s success over the past 24 years, and I’m especially pleased to deliver on our staff share option scheme as part of this transaction. It means our people share in the success they have helped create and have a vested interest in our continued growth as part of Partners&.
“Looking ahead, the future is incredibly exciting for our team, with enhanced opportunities for career development, collaboration and growth across the wider Partners& business.
“Most importantly, our clients remain at the centre of everything we do. They can be assured that M&DH will continue to provide the same trusted advice, personal service and commitment they have come to expect over the years, now backed by the additional expertise and resources of Partners&.”
