Partners& bags support to make a difference

Overview and key points

The Partners& team in High Wycombe have gone above and beyond expectation again this year, creating 42 gift bags full of Christmas goodies for the Wycombe Food Hub. The bags will be distributed to senior citizens in the local area who are either housebound or spending Christmas alone.

Wycombe Food Hub is the chosen charity for our South East region. Colleagues Jeannette Friedberg and Matthew Plested have been leading the drive to support this organisation whose main aim is to supply food that might otherwise go to waste, to those most vulnerable in the community. They were joined by other teams from the High Wycombe office including Private Clients, SME South, High Wycombe Commercial Advisers and the High Wycombe Accounts team.

Each of the 42 bags contained a variety of goodies that you would expect around the festive holidays, including:

  • Mince pies
  • Xmas pudding
  • Biscuits/crackers
  • Chocolate/selection boxes
  • A Christmas cracker
  • Hot choc mix
  • Nuts
  • Dried fruit
  • Savoury snacks (pretzels, crisps)

This isn’t the first time the team have supported the Wycombe Food Hub. Together, Jeannette and Matthew regularly organise food drives which are always actively supported by wider High Wycombe team.

And, that’s not all. Jeanette also organised the team to take part in the 2025 Partners& Christmas Jumper Day on 11 December. They also had a cake sale, with all proceeds being raised for Wycombe Food Hub.

Last year, Jeannette won an award at the Partners& VIP Gathering for her contribution to charitable causes.

“The whole team have found supporting the food bank has been a privilege. The work they do strengthens our community, and we’re grateful to play even a small part in helping families access the food and support they deserve.”
Jeanette and Matthew commented

Malia Brown, marketing and communications director, said:
“Jeannette and Matthew are the dynamic dup when it comes to supporting the Wycombe Food Hub. Their care and compassion for this organisation is infectious – which can be seen in the ongoing support the team continually provides. This can be a difficult time of year for many people. We hope that these bags can make it a little easier.”

Trevor Snaith, Chairman of Wycombe Food Hub and Councillor for Marsh and Micklefield commented:
I am pleased to be working in partnership with Partners& to support local pensioners. Through this collaboration, parcels will be delivered directly to older residents across the area bringing joy into their homes.
