In a move intended to support the ambition to be the best insurance and benefits advisory proposition for owner managed businesses in the UK, Partners& has appointed Susan Young to the role of Managing Partner for SME and Schemes.
Owner managed businesses have been hit by successive challenges over the years – business rates, inflation, Covid, Brexit, yet still represents more than 50% of our GDP and more than 90% of business in the UK. Whilst resilient, the SME markets is in need of proactive advice and Partners& has a proposition specifically designed with these challenges in mind. Its focus is to work closely with clients, invest time in helping them understand the risks they face and ultimately to put appropriate measures in place to support them through these turbulent times.
Susan brings 30 years’ industry experience leading winning sales, client service and operational teams. After 27 years with Gallagher leading the Private Client and Personal Lines division, Susan joined Sigma Connected to oversee the insurance division.
I love the people first approach I have witnessed at Partners&. Everyone has a passion for delivering exceptional client service. The inclusive culture and drive for continuous improvement and doing the right thing has really struck a chord with me. My aim in this new role is to create an environment that attracts and retains motivated and talented individuals, creating an environment for them to thrive; demonstrate how much we care. Delivering that level of service and advice will enable us to become the broker of choice for clients, whilst having some fun along the way!
Susan brings a wonderful mix of experience, people leadership and pragmatism to this role – a combination that will be great for our team and our clients.
