Challenge

The company has always placed enormous value on its people, offering an extensive range of insured and non‑insured benefits: private medical insurance, a health cash plan, group life assurance, enhanced holiday entitlements, service‑recognition schemes, and a variety of travel-related perks. The business believes that working in the sector should come with advantages that extend well beyond the day job.

One of the organisation’s biggest challenges in delivering its impressive Employee Value Proposition (EVP) was visibility.

With a diverse workforce spanning both front-line and office-based roles, the organisation needed a way to bring its EVP to life in a consistent, accessible, and intuitive way, enabling employees to clearly understand their total reward package and feel the company’s commitment to wellbeing.

Support

Through our discussions, it became clear that a digital infrastructure was essential to manage their EVP — but it had to be cost effective, especially for a business already investing heavily in its people.

Harmony – our all-in-one digital employee benefits platform quickly emerged as the ideal solution, delivering the functionality the client needed at the right price point. Crucially, the platform provides accessibility for all employees via an app—something many of the alternative platforms they had explored could not offer. That accessibility was vital for their front-line workforce, where engagement is often harder to achieve. The platform also played a key role in supporting employees through the cost-of-living crisis, with the retail discounts module providing instant savings on groceries, home goods, and more.

But the platform goes beyond supporting our client’s employees.

Introducing Harmony also helped our client’s people team—the individuals working tirelessly behind the scenes to manage benefits and communications.

By providing tailored communication advice and content, we helped the company ensure the platform’s wording was engaging, aligned with their values, and designed to draw employees in.

Harmony’s dedicated employer hub provides the client with a seamless way to manage employee benefits, handle update and change requests, and access real time data with full audit trails, strengthening internal compliance and reducing administrative pressure.

Perform

Within just three months of implementing the platform, the impact became clear and measurable.

Insurance programme enrolments have increased, with a noticeable surge in employees extending cover to their families—a strong indicator of trust, understanding, and perceived value.

Feedback on the platform has been overwhelmingly positive; particularly around how intuitive employees find the app is and how easy the retail discounts are to use. These discounts have already delivered tangible results, with employees saving an average of £58.74 per month.

The activation rate (the number of people who have accessed their account) currently sits at 53.1% and continues to climb steadily. With our support, the client is aiming for 70%. This trajectory is exceptional—particularly when compared to an average activation rate of 34% across the wider employee benefits platform market.

Since launching Harmony, our partnership with the client continues to grow, with regular touchpoints ensuring that their employee benefits strategy stays aligned with their goals and evolves as the organisation does.

New opportunities that have come to light as a result of our ongoing discussions include introducing salary sacrifice, enhancing the communication of total reward information and activating a reward and recognition tool to strengthen community, recognition, and overall employee experience — all via the platform.

In simple terms, Harmony is now the engine that supports the client’s EVP, and our ongoing partnership ensures it continues to grow in the right direction.

"This partnership really demonstrates how Partners& goes far beyond arranging employee benefit programmes and insurance solutions.

We’re here to support employee communication, understand the culture and heartbeat of the business, and make sure every benefit resonates with the workforce in the most meaningful way."
