Partners& enters new financial year with growth news

Partners& kicks off the new financial year with two acquisitions. Richard Thompson Insurance Brokers (RTIB) and Regent Healthcare have joined the Partners& team, augmenting its client proposition and extending its geographical reach.

RTIB, based in Weybridge and established in 1977, combines a boutique Lloyds cover holder with specialisms in fine art, commercial property, and private client with a more traditional regional insurance broking business. The team of 12 led by Joe and Emily Thompson share a progressive culture, energy, and dynamism with Partners& and bring an added capability to design products, propositions and schemes tailored for specific industry and risk sectors.

Joe Thompson will lead the Partners& underwriting business and will also act as our head of fine art whilst Emily will join our award-winning HR team. The office in Weybridge extends the Partners& network into Surrey and the South of England.

Regent Healthcare was founded by Jack Hunter and provides healthcare and group risk advice to businesses and individuals. Based in Leicestershire, the business will augment the Partners& presence in the Midlands and build up on its health and wellbeing expertise, adding to its rapidly expanding wellbeing health and protection business led by James Porter.

Phil Barton, Partners& CEO, said: “As a business wholly committed to defining a class-leading client proposition and truly unique culture for its team, the addition of both RTIB and Regent Healthcare represents an important step in the development of Partners&.

“By harnessing the product design and underwriting capabilities of the RTIB/Virtu team, we are positioned to deliver outstanding bespoke outcomes for our clients. Regent Healthcare adds to our dynamic wellbeing and health business and equips us with the resources and capability to serve our rapidly developing business in the Midlands. I’m thrilled that both of these high-quality businesses chose Partners& for their clients.”

Joe Thompson said: “We were struck by Partners&’s heightened focus on people and culture and wanted to be part of an advisory business that not only has designs on being the best but also exemplifies our own commitment to client service. We are all excited to collaborate with new colleagues and expand on the work we have dedicated ourselves to here at RTIB and Virtu.  Our new home will benefit our people and clients whilst enriching our offering in the market.”

Jack Hunter said: “From day one, the Partners& team demonstrated its commitment to clients and independent advice that mirrored my own philosophy and enabled me to reassure my long-standing clients that they would be in safe hands in the future.”
