Partners& Oxford office turns pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Overview and key points

On Thursday, 28 October, the Partners& Oxford office came together for a vibrant and heartfelt “Wear It Pink” Day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Initiated by Michelle Trafford, the event incorporated a range of fund-raising activities, bringing colleagues together for a day of fun and collaboration in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The team were encouraged to wear pink, bring treats, and take part in light-hearted fundraising games. From pink-themed sweepstakes to homemade cakes with donation jars, the day was filled with creativity and generosity.

The event was inspired by a desire to acknowledge and support those affected by breast cancer, including a colleague who is currently undergoing treatment. “It felt important to do something meaningful,” said Michelle. “Our office cake queen, Roz Wright, baked some gorgeous pink cakes complete with Percy Pigs on the top. Everyone loves her cakes so this was a great way to boost donations.”

The team brought enthusiasm, fun and warmth to the office. Special mentions go to Paul Killinger for his standout pink outfit and Josh Thorne, who made a midday dash to Sports Direct for a pink T-shirt after realizing his original choice wasn’t quite pink enough.

The fundraising games remain open until the end of the month to maximise the amount of money raised.
