It might have been a cold, wet day in February, but that didn’t stop the players in the inaugural Partners& / Michelmores 5-a-side Corporate Football Tournament raise more than £1,500 for Broadway Lodge, an addiction treatment centre based in Weston-Super-Mare. Twelve teams from across the Bristol corporate finance community came together to battle it out at Imperial Sports Grounds.
Albert Goodman Chartered Accountants took home the trophy following a competitive competition that included Bishop Fleming, BGF, Deloitte, Hazelwoods, Integrity365, PKF-Francis Clark, Rathbones, Santander, Shaw & Co, Partners&, Michelmores and Switch Health.
Simon Haynes, Chief Financial Officer, Partners&, said: “We’re thrilled with the way the teams came together. The positive spirit and commitment to braving the torrential weather by all was impressive! We had a great time too, raising money for a great cause.”
Ben Adams, Senior Associate, Michelmores, said: “We all thought it was a great event and there certainly seems to be an appetite for a future tournament. We’re already planning the next one for July 26, so watch this space!”
Partners& has supported Broadway Lodge since 2024, when colleagues from across the business voted for their nominated charity. Since then, Partners& has hosted numerous events supporting Broadway Lodge, raising a total of over £15,000.
